Prof. Kishor Munshi is the founder director of CTech Labs Pvt. Ltd. – a joint venture with IIT Bombay
Prof. Kishor Munshi has a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with Post–graduation in Product Design form IIT Bombay and Royal College of Art, London. He was UNESCO Fellow at Technical University of Hanover, Germany, Universite de Technologie de Compiegne, France, and worked with some of the leading design groups in Europe - Sottsass Associati, Milano, Italy. ENFI Design, Paris, France, Lindinger & Partner, Hanover, Germany etc.
Professor and former Head of the Department, Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay, Professor of Industrial Design at Oslo School of Architecture & Design, Norway, where he started the Masters program in Industrial Design. Professor of Design Management at Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Visiting Professor at Lulea University of Technology, Sweden.
Management adviser and R&D (Product Development) Consultant to more than 50 industrial organization including L&T Ltd., IBP Ltd., Godrej & Boyce Ltd., Ponds India Ltd., HMT Watch Directorate, Crompton Greaves Ltd., Godfrey Philips Ltd., DRDO Labs, Indian Railways etc. He has been adviser for many DST, Govt. Of India funded projects
Member of various Government of India committees for making recommendations on ‘Technology Transfer’, ‘Technology Upgradation’, formation of Design Council, etc. Member, Human Engineering Panel of DRDO, Ministry of Defence, GOI & National Innovation Foundation. He has been awarded for ‘Excellence in Design Consulting’ by CDC, Government of India and IF Award in Germany for “Good Design”. He has number of patents to his credit.
Ms. Shakti Munshi, Director
Ms Shakti Munshi, MSc ( Botany) has a Masters in Management from Jamnalal ajaj Institute of Management. She has more then 20 years of working experience with leading companies both in India and the MiddleEast.
Starting her career in Advertising, she worked through Market Research, Sales & Marketing, New product & New Business development, both in India and the Middle-East.
She is a Consultant to many Norwegian companies for Market study, Marketing and Sourcing of raw material / products / services from India, & Derector - DFCCI Ltd.
Kul Bhushan Gupta, Adviser, Packaging Design & Development
Mr. Kulbhushan Gupta is a first class B.Tech from Punjab University at chandigarh and an M.Tech from IIT Bombay in Chemical Engineering. He started his career as Research Associate with Chemical Engineering Department of IIT Bombay. Later he specialized in packaging of engineering goods, electronics and chemicals. He rose to be Professor of Packaging Design and Testing, at Indian Institute of Packaging, Bpmbay, and Head of the Laboratory Division at IIP Bombay.
Mr. Gupta has a wide all round experience of more than 30 years in all aspects of packaging design and testing. He was responsible for setting up Regional packaging Centre at New Delhi, which he headed for first 4 years and coordinated United Nations project on Packaging.
Visited Singapore, Malaysia & Bangladesh for Sea Food Packaging Research project and study. He has presented of research papers on food packaging, Jute & Jute based Products in Packaging in various National & International Packaging conferences.
Under UN sponsored project he visited Various Packaging and testing labs in The UK, The Netherlands, Germany, Poland, The USA, Finland, France, Belgium
Ramachandran K., Adviser, Product Design & Development
Mr. Ramachandran K. has a very wide experience of more that 30 years in all aspects of product design, new product development and packaging, aesthetics & creative strategy. Mr. Ramachandran has been Professor and Head of Industrial Design Department at IIT Guwahati for the past 6 years.
Mr. Ramchandran K. is Graduate in Mechanical engineering with Post graduation from IIT Bombay in industrial (product) design. He started his career with Rallis India ltd and Photophone Ltd, where he designed comsumer durables and cine projection and sound systems. He moved on to Murphy India ltd to set up their industrial design department, one of the first such centres in the country. In Bangalore he worked as senior designer with Indian Design Centre where he developed aerospace application products for ISRO. Later in Crompton Greaves Ltd. he headed the new product development activity in the Appliances and Consumer Products Division and Electronic Technology Division. He has many successful products in the market including number of appliances and electronic products like telephones, PLCs etc
He initiated and executed design projects with Ms Atlantic Design (UK) and developed the support infrastructure to carry out design export activity for Crompton Greaves Ltd. He has conducted sessions and workshops in International Design Scenarios for managers and engineers. He has been advising Larsen & Toubro, Railways, Border Roads Organisation etc.
Mr. Ramachandran is an expert in product design validation and standards.
Rajeev V. Nair, Adviser, Computation & Modeling
Mr. Rajeev Nair is a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Kerala University and M.Des from IIT Bombay.He started his career in 1991 with Titan watches. Later he joined IIT Bombay as research Associate and then Bajaj Auto Ltd., where he rose to become Department (industrial design / styling) Manager. He has many 2-wheeler designs to his credit. He has worked as adviser for Tata Elxsi, TVS Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra on special projects.
Rajeev Nair is specialized in automobile design and he is an expert in computer modeling, automobile surface design, A-class surfaces & C3 systems
Rajiva Varshneya, Adviser, Electronics
Rajiva Varshneya is a B.Tech.(Elec.)(Hons.) from I.I.T., Bombay
He has worked from 1971 to 1988 at Bush India Ltd. and has worked on audio, radio and speaker design. He has also worked extensively on production norms, transformer manufacturing, vendor development and technology transfer.
He started and headed the video game project and also headed the Service Centres for Akai, National and NEC and has travelled extensively for technical and commercial interaction with American, German, Taiwanese and Japanese companies.
He is involved with IIT, Khaitan Group, Neel Controls, Jhuntronics, Avon Switchgears, etc. as an electronic design consultant for analog, digital and embedded system projects.
Abhaya Shankar, Advisor Business

Bidyabijay Bhaumik, Adviser, Automotive Design & Engineering
Consultant with over forty years’ Industry Experience. Senior VP & Head PD (Auto), Mahindra & Mahindra (1998-2012). Mechanical Engineering graduate (1965-70) from REC Durgapur and postgraduate in Industrial Design from IDC, IITB (1970-72).
Pioneered Automotive Design in India, working in the Engineering Research Center, TELCO (now TATA MOTORS) under the direct tutelage of Mr Sumant Moolgaonkar, then Chairman & MD.
Design & Engineering of the TATA 1516 cabin, a path-breaking vehicle of that time, with a number of high tech features.
Design & Engineering of Tatamobile, Tata Estate and Tata Sierra Series of vehicles.
Headed the Design and Engineering of the entire line of Products at Bajaj Auto Ltd (1991-96). Some of the New Products launched under his leadership were Bajaj Rave, Bajaj Spirit (Scooter of the year), Bajaj Saffire, Bajaj Chetak 4S, Bajaj RE Diesel, etc.
